Today we have been celebrating National Zoo Day. Our Reception children have had lots of fun getting creative and messy!
They used junk modelling to create their own animal dens, adding crepe paper to make sure the animals were nice and cosy, and they dipped string in black paint and pulled it in different directions to create their own textured spider pictures. The staff also made the children sensory animal themed bags, using paint, hair gel, crepe paper and twigs. The children used their physical development skills and their imaginations to rub out the teachers pictures and draw their own. They even changed some of the animals to dinosaurs.
We have had so much fun!! Why don't you try some of these activities at home? We would love to see your creations!
